Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associate-II under the DBT, GoI funded Project entitled “Germplasm characterization, genomics analysis and gene discovery for yield, metabolite and stress tolerance in Tea” under DBT-NER-TEA programme.

Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Agri)/M.Tech/M.Sc. in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology/ Tea Husbandry & Technology/ Life Sciences
Desirable:
- GATE/NET/SLET qualified. Experience of working in laboratory with DNA marker and other related works oriented to crop improvement
Monthly Emoluments:
- Rs.37,000 + 8 % HRA for candidates NET, GATE, BET, BINC qualified or any other selection processes through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Govt. Dept. and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA who do not fall under above (i)

Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Plant Breeding and Genetics / Any Branch of Life Sciences with specialization in molecular breeding and outstanding academic record and proven ability of high R & D work. OR
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (> 4.0).
Desirable: Experience in genomics/statistical genomics and shall be given preference
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 35000/- + 8% HRA
