Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the role of Administrative Consultant. This full-time, contractual position is available under the Directorate of Research (Agri.). AAU, the first institution of its kind in the North-Eastern Region of India, is dedicated to producing globally competitive human resources in the agricultural sector and conducting research aimed at optimizing production and enhancing sustainability, equity, and food security.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualification: Retired government employees with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in the administrative field.
- Retirement Status: Must be retired from the position of Assistant Registrar or Administrative Officer with a pay scale of Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- + GP Rs. 13,900/-.
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and E-Office.
- Knowledge in noting/drafting and familiarity with Establishment & Finance related rules & regulations, GFR, FRSR, etc.
- Experience in General Administration, Personnel matters, Vigilance, RTI, Financial proposal examination, dealing with Subordinate Offices, and Autonomous/Statutory Bodies.
Salary:
- Rs. 25,000/- per month
Age Limit:
- Not more than 65 years as of 01.08.2024.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates are required to appear for a walk-in interview on 28th August 2024. The interview will be held in the office chamber of the Director of Research (Agri.), AAU, Jorhat.
