The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, located in Assam, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Office Assistant at the Intellectual Property Rights Cell under the Office of Industrial Interactions and Special Initiatives. Established in 1994 as the sixth member of the IIT family, IIT Guwahati commenced its academic programs in 1995. The Institute is known for its expansive campus covering 285 hectares along the north bank of the Brahmaputra River, offering a picturesque and conducive environment for academic pursuits.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree in Science.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) including filing, drafting, and vetting legal matters.
- Certification in Patent Law, Corporate Law, Company Secretary, Patent Portfolio Creation and Management, or related fields.
Desirable Qualification:
- Two years of experience in IPR-related matters.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview scheduled for August 30, 2024, starting from 3:30 PM. The interview will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Research Building at IIT Guwahati, Assam.
