The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, is pleased to announce the recruitment of candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering. This recruitment is for a project titled “Design and Modeling of Lab-On-Chip based Bio-reactors Capable of Mimicking Human Glomerulus Ultrafiltration and Reabsorption Function of Proximal Tubule of Kidney for in vivo implantation.” The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the interview based on initial screening. The selection is contingent upon finding suitable candidates.

Essential Qualification:
- M.E/M. Tech in ECE/EIE/Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in microfluidics & MEMS) or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 and a strong academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
- Qualification in GATE/NET or any national-level examination conducted by central government departments/agencies/institutes is mandatory.
Desirable:
- Experience in working with microfluidics and MEMS simulation tools.
- Knowledge of the biological background relevant to the project work.
Salary: Rs. 37,000/- per month. HRA and other allowances/increments will be provided as per project/institute norms.
