The Tocklai Tea Research Institute in Assam is pleased to announce openings for two key positions under a project funded by Willowood Chemicals Ltd. We are seeking qualified candidates for the roles of Project Fellow and Project Assistant for the project titled “Studies on the Dissipation and Residue of Valxtra (Hexaconazole 5% + Validamycin 2.5% SC) & Mitofix (Fipronil 2.5% + Propargite 35% SE) in Tea Leaf, Black Tea, Soil” in our Analytical Services Department.

1. Project Fellow
- Number of Positions: 1
- Fellowship: ₹20,000/- per month plus HRA @8%
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or other disciplines of Chemical Science/Agricultural Chemicals
- Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in conducting supervised field trials
- Proficiency in operating LC-MS/MS & GC-MS/MS
- Experience in pesticide residue analysis from various matrices (food, plant, soil, water) using modern sample preparation techniques
- Knowledge of computer applications and statistics
- Familiarity with NABL accredited laboratory requirements
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years
Job Roles: The selected candidate will work independently under the guidance of Scientists & Technical Officers at our NABL accredited laboratory, TLabs, Tocklai. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting pesticide residue analysis of tea, soil, and water samples from field trials in Assam & West Bengal
- Overseeing multi-locational residue field trials
- Supervising project-related activities
- Data collection, compilation, and report preparation
2. Project Assistant
- Number of Positions: 1
- Fellowship: ₹15,000/- per month plus HRA @8%
- Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry or other disciplines of Chemical Science
- Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in pesticide residue analysis from various matrices (food, plant, soil, water)
- Knowledge of laboratory requirements
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years
Job Roles: The Project Assistant will work under the supervision of Scientists & Technical Officers at our NABL accredited laboratory. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in pesticide residue analysis of tea, soil, and water samples from field trials in Assam & West Bengal
