The Office of the Director of Land Records & Surveys (DLRS), Guwahati, Assam, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for multiple technical positions under the State Programme Management Unit (SPMU) for the National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations (NAKSHA), as part of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
Available Positions & Eligibility Criteria:
1. Expert (Land Administration)
2. Manager (Geospatial Technology)
M.Sc./M.A/M. Tech/M.Sc.(Tech) in Geo Informatics/GIS & Remote Sensing.
M.Sc./M.A in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science with 1-year diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, etc.) with GIS and Remote Sensing knowledge.
GATE qualified and certification in GIS/Data analysis courses with knowledge of ArcGIS/QGIS is desirable.
Experience:
5+ years of experience managing and executing GIS-related projects in land surveying and large-scale mapping.
Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, and other spatial data processing tools.
Knowledge of Cadastral mapping and Ground truthing.
3. Programmer (MIS & GIS Developer)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
Master's degree in Computer Application (MCA).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in database administration, including database design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance.
Experience in GIS-based software development.
4. GIS Analyst
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications/Geo-informatics.
M.Sc./M.A/M. Tech/M.Sc.(Tech) in Geo Informatics/GIS & Remote Sensing.
M.Sc./M.A in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science with 1-year diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing.
Experience:
5+ years of experience managing GIS-related projects in land surveying and large-scale mapping.
Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, and other GIS data processing tools.
Experience in GIS software development is desirable.
5. Remote Sensing Analyst
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications/Geo-informatics.
M.Sc./M.A/M. Tech/M.Sc.(Tech) in Geo Informatics/GIS & Remote Sensing.
M.Sc./M.A in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science with 1-year diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing.
Experience:
5+ years of experience working with High-Resolution Satellite Imageries.
Proficiency in ERDAS Imagine, LPS, QGIS, ArcGIS.
Experience in Ortho-rectification, mosaicking, and satellite data analysis.
